I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. As a pre-teen, I started writing short stories and an occasional play for my friends to perform in front of our families.  I was often found with my nose in a notebook during study hall writing in my journal. I began my love of research throughout my high school career where my teachers would often find me lost in an encyclopedia looking for another great topic to dive into. As an adult, I pursued my love of writing while raising my two children and working in another field. Since my children have grown, I went back to school and achieved certificates in writing basics, creative writing, proofreading, copy editing, and freelance writing. I am now a full-time general freelance writer with experience in many different areas; everything from writing blogs, online magazine articles, product descriptions, and ghostwriting a book. I'm always excited for a new challenge and I still enjoy researching topics that I'm less familiar with. Living along the coast of South Carolina inspires me to incorporate much of the beautiful scenery into my work. When I'm not writing I enjoy long walks on the beach. God, family, and my granddaughter are the most important pieces that complete my life.
